I'm taking it back to the domain, christopherberry.ca
There are a few reasons.
Maybe you can relate.
I started using Blogger in 2008. I already had a blog at christopherberry.ca - which contained a lot material that was tangential to marketing analytics.
I wanted a single place to focus on analytics. I started this Eyes on Analytics blog. I broke out that content on purpose. That's what we did back then.
Pick a topic for your blog, and stick to it.
Back to the Past
Having your own domain sounds like an ancient idea.
I was catching up on video from the RealtimeConf and caught Amber Case give a great talk. She talked about farming your content on your own domain, on your own software, and then syndicating that content outwards.
That just makes a crazy amount of sense to me.
If it's on my domain, it's my property. And it's my property to manage.
Centralize the OC and do it.
It could be asked, 'why have a blog where only a half dozen people see it'? Well, it's a great way to share with a half dozen people.
In Conclusion
So, for those reasons, I'm heading on back to the domain.
